The Women's Right Movement is a social movement that seeks equal rights and greater personal freedom for women. Many prominent figures of this movement are Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and Lucretia Mott.
CAUSES
Women were upset that they virtually had no say. They wanted the right to vote amongst other demands such as personal freedom and equal opportunities.
EFFECTS
Later on, white women got the right to vote in 1920 and in the following years women of color got the right to vote as well. Women had more social and economic equality than ever before.
